Adorne your home with Original paintings!

618views

Original paintings are a great addition to any home decor. They can transform the look of your space and add character or represent something special about you (whether it be an interest in travel or a favorite hobby). There is also the added benefit that original art pieces can increase in value over time.

Some people worry that they don’t have enough wall space for all their artwork, but this is not true!

The key to successfully adding color and personality into your living area with original paintings comes down to the good placement of colors around each other on the walls, so there isn’t too much going on at once.

Try complementary colors next to one another like blue/purple, yellow/orange, etc. Of course, you’ll want varying sizes as well.

Of course, you may not have the budget to buy a whole collection of paintings from day one. If this is the case, try to buy original paintings that are affordable first and then gradually updating as your funds grow (or asking for originals on birthdays or holidays!). You can also frame prints!

Framing an original print is easier than it seems- all it takes are some simple frames and mat board cut to size at any local art supply store. All that’s left after framing is hanging them up in their new home – easy peasy!

Now that we’ve covered the basics and where to start if you don’t have a lot of money to spend, it’s time for the fun part!

Here are some of our favorite painting styles that you can buy when there are paintings for sale:

Abstract Painting

Abstract art is very versatile and can work well with just about any space. Try large abstract paintings on an accent wall or small ones mixed into your décor as you walk through the room. You’ll appreciate how unique each piece will be while also enjoying color palettes throughout your home decor.

Blues/Greens

These colors have been shown to help reduce anxiety and stress levels, so they’re perfect for bedrooms and living areas where we often relax after a hectic day at work. Bring these calming hues into your bedroom by hanging original prints right above your bed or adding a few original paintings to the walls.

Impressionism

Impressive landscapes and seascapes are always a showstopper in any living area, so try painting one of these pieces on an accent wall for that wow factor! If you’re not interested in this type of art, still give it some thought because it will help create different moods depending on which way the furniture faces.
